It's been a while since I've posted here, but here I go.

To get decent benefits from boosting a modern car, you have to trick the ECU to change ignition timing and cut back the fuel. You can mod your IAT sensor to retard the timing (make the ECU think the engine is running hotter than it actually is). Cutting back fuel is a bit tougher, however. To do this, you have to simultaneously trick the O2 sensor, MAF and MAP sensors. MPGResearch has details on how to do each of these mods. Note that if you only trick one of the sensors, the ECU will learn around your mods. All of them have to be done at the same time.

An electronic kit has been developed called the O2 Optimizer, which does all of this at once. It's being sold with the "."

MPG is guaranteed to go up by 50%. Many vehicles see a 100% gain.

No, I'm not advertising. I'm just pointing out the importance of tricking the ECU to take advantage of the hydrogen.

With the much more efficient electrolyzers that are made by people on this board, HUGE gains should be pretty easily attainable.

Kevin,
You are Right on track thinking the NG /H2 will work better.Not only is it better for the environment but when an engine is changed to run on Ng they have to change the Carb(s).This is the same carb setup i was talking about .It is a totally different carb setup and i think it would be WAY easier to implement boosting with it.You would only need a steady,like say 15 psi flow of either gas to make the carb work.Then all you would need is a flash programmer to switch which fuel map setup youd like to be running NG or H2..or if ya wanna get fancy have a 3rd flash to run a mixture. Food for thought..do some research on exactly how FORKLIFT engine carburators work..after all they use either LPG or NG due to emission problems in closed buildings!This will be the most efficient way IMHO to utilize boosting for now....until someone figures out how Meyers designed his Splitter/Injector sparkplug apparatus.

Ive been kinda quiet the last half of this year still study'n and things,mostly now play'n with waveforms and learning how to create them.I still havent put the foot down and decided to actually go for it and d o a complete conversion but have came acros a local place that sells propane and N/G carbs.These guys are run'n buggy's and rock crawlers on propane and N/G so that may be the option I finaly decide to go for.It does seem to make since to do a dual fuel conversion to petro and N/G and go from there.I dont have a unit that's compact enough to idle my little 6 banger yet so Im not even boosting as of yet.Looking very forward to the day when we can do this easily so dont forget about us little guys if ya get er figured out.I may add someth'n to try and get a cleanner burn one of these days... still work'n on someth'n small and effecient enough to do that easily.My o Nissan doesnt have much room for much.

Im sorry Glenn as you pointed out i was vague in what i was saying.What i meant was to have seperate programs to Flash the EPROM chip with .I think after market programmers can be bought with software to do this to most modern engines.Have an onboard setup to allow a person to flash the chip for whatever type of fuel was needed at the time is prolly more appropriate.Assuming the known fuel mixture etc are known to achieve max efficiency.Seperate expiriments would have to be done to figure the exact fuel/air/spark ratio out .But i believe that with Honda introducing thier first water fuel cell car now ..this is gonna be getting into the main stream extremely fast from this point forward.I just seen the commercial on TV tonight watchin reruns with my GF .Honda has announced thier first water car ...pretty exciting really ..now all we have to do is make sure that people dont start to claim who owns teh water on earth
