BOOSTING

Postby kevinsatterfield » Wed Jul 18, 2007 6:05 pm

Im beginning to come to a conclusion that "Boosting' serves no real bennifit if we are not at least able to idle an engine....wats ya'lls take on that?Shuld we not at least be able to idle an engine when "Boosting"?

well thats my take on it from now on....if I cant at least idle an engine then you wont hear me say'n Im boosting....but when Im boosting....i'll be at least run'n on demand at idle RPM.When work is needed to be done..thast wat the petrol's for in a boosting application....thats my story and im stick'n to it..LOL

Along those lines of thinking..its the burn rate that muks up the time'n and all right? Im hope'n thats all it is and can be adjusted with a hydroxy water vapor mix instead of all the complicated ECM problems associated with time'n adjustments....

Im thinking instead Boosting petrol that it shuld be much more bennificial to boost a Natural gas conversion.

Well Natural Gas is better for the Environment , So I encourage you to do it.
I guess that the Hydroxy would mix really nicely with it - so be a good burn
however a Mate of mine was using LPG and he could not get any advantage
when using Hydroxy.
[ Mind you , his was a very poor Booster set up , more like a steamer .! ]
-
I see the advantage of boosting with petrol, that it improves the burn of the
petrol vapour - this may not be the case with natural gas - I dont know.
But using Natural Gas is still a Big Plus.

Its hard tell'n, just seems like it wuld be a more honest try to run with Natural Gas use'n that system provided than a strictly gasoline system. Some ppl still dont get any improved MPG with a gasoline engine and most ppl say its too complicated to idle a gasoline system on Rhodes Gas.

Don't know if this has been covered as I am new and going through the posts but I am looking at a variable fuel approach for boosting autos: vaporization of fuel (ethanol, gas, etc.), hydroxy, and of course good ol' (or bad ol') unleaded.

Anybody here try vaporization on top of hydroxy for boosting?

gagekko,

sounds like a decent project. Are think'n about atempting this with a fuel injection sytem or an o carbed system? It seems like a decent combo, the GEET generator Im work'n seems like it culd sure use some added power when its run'n low on gas and thers mostly water in the tank. That may actually not be a hard expieriment on my end.....The GEET system run's on vaporized fuel and some how it can run on partly water, some say up to 80% water to gas but I think its mostly perfered a 50 50 mix.on mine i try to mix the water and the gas in the same jug so the gas sits on top of the water and the generator runs great when thers plenty of gas but as it runs out and more water vapor is being used the power drops and I have to almost close the exhaust valve totaly and let the combustion byproducts pulse out of the intake valve. It seems like a doable expieriment, if the hydrogen/oxygen mix can be added at the right time and all.

I'm thinking on a carb system. I am fascinated by the oglemobile... I think a combination of hydroxy, vaporization, and traditional fuel might provide decent results by the way of boosting. I know this isn't "over unity" but I think with oil @ $90/barrel, people might be interested, no?

I am hoping to attempt a cold vaporization by way of vacuum but I would need to do more research in that first. Applying heat, like Thomas Ogle did might work but I have a slight safety concern there. I am considering Ethanol as the vapor to add as we know big oil likes to make it so that the additives in gas will prevent people from us to pull this type of experiment.

Thanks for your interest. It is very motivating :D
