Computer problems

Hi , one of my computers crashed as the internal battery was dy'n...not sure if that has anything to do with it crashing and not loading any drivers,it wont even load the monitor drivers that allow me to adjust the screen resolution.The computer powers up and the fans inside run and never cut off ,the hard drive spins but doesnt load anything,the DVD player powers up but doesnt load anything.When i power up the computer everything has power but the screen stays black.The keyboard will light up the numbers lock light with 2 other lights beside it only at intial start up and then it doesnt even function...no lights will come on when i press the numbers lock button or anything else after the computer starts up....anybody have a clue wat this problem culd be? I changed the internal battery and that red light isnt flashing anymore but nothing still works.
