Hi, Im looking for information how to get 60vDC at 10 amps from a 12v battery or alternator ....I'll post wat links I can find in this thread as to have some referance material to look at on this quest.Any help is sure appreciated.

can i use a 500 wat inverter and rectify its output for 120v DC? and if i can do that is ther a way i can reduce the 120 to 60vDC?

Since you want exactly half of 120 you could use a voltage divider Which basicly consists of two resistors in series but conected in a certain way (there are plenty of examples online). Im not quite sure of what values are best so you may have to play around a bit.
