It might sound obvious, but AC is not the same as DC. To put it another way, AC resistance is not the same as DC resistance.

To start with, say you feed a 100V signal through the primary. You will then get a 0.003 V signal on the secondary. Not really enough to do much with.
If you did somehow feed that signal back through, there would be nothing to keep the AC signal going, so the whole thing would grind to a halt very quickly.

An experiment you can do at home: Measure the resistance of an 8 Ohm (or 4 ohm) speaker . I bet it's not what's printed on the speaker. Can you figure out why?
