I have a cell in the usa at the moment running around with the water. After several weeks mixed with KOH sitting in a cell on the bench the olates not only didnt discolour but they artually sparcle. It is now in a dodge ram and has showed no signs of discolouring. It is producing lots of gas at less than 15% KOH.
I am testing it as my prefered design is a Bob Boyce sealed unit...and possibly a clamped version known commonly as the Terro (its a mod of Bobs design). However we do often see dicoloring and KOH build up and its a pain to pull appart. I figured the scavenger effects of the water if it holds up long term will solve that problem. Even after running in a unit for a week you can empty it into a bottle and it charges.
I offer no explanations and it is PH netrual...so its not the acid in it.
i will keep you informed I am about to order another case of it.
Mark

Also a 65 kw 4.2 litre hydrogen engine needs 700 litres per minute of hydrogen I think if you divided that in 3 you would be preety close with hydroxy and the right engine management.

Glad to hear that everybody didn't change your mind to make you think it couldn't be done. Misleading designs are everywhere only leaving a few that really work.

Did any of the people who actually ran an engine of any kind give their LPM results?

yes they did....but it varied. One of these was claimed to be self running the other just ran on lots o externally produced hydroxy.
i have no evidence they achieved this but they said about 35litres per minute to idle a small sub 200 cc engine and about 80 litres a minute to maintain 55 mph. the other test required over 200 litres per minute to run a big block engine at mid range revs. A friend of mine in Australia thinks you need 1litre per minute per HP...i have some cells that can run 8 litres plus so we are going to try it out on a 5 hp engine ...will let you know the results.
I also intend in the states to get a small engine and put some electronics on it to do away with the waste spark and have variabke timming ..will see what happens.
My belief is to get a self running engine you need an efficency of more less than .2watts per litre per hour

We know that Walt has some actual LPM for his 5-6Hp briggs and that the LMG (sort of an SUV in Europe) uses 5LPM providing half of its fuel consumption.

So many think that it takes serveral hundred LPM to run an AUTO ICE.

I know I am asking you to stick your neck out here. At the risk of being shot down, corected or told you are wrong, Any calc's here?

If we had the LPM then all we would need to do is make the gas. Thats a German for ya doing it in reverse. LOL

i also found gasoline engines gave better economy.
I guess what worried me the most many units out there just produce the same ammount of gas no matter what speed they were running or in some cases what size engines IE if you make 1 litre of gas per minute that might be ok for a 2000cc or 5000cc engine but not a 16 litre cummins.
Catapillar engines respond very well.
I am crrently researching how much gas we really need. We only need enough to get a complete combustion as any more we are wasting energy to produce it, as so much is lost in using diesel to produce hydrogen.
This is going to take many hours on a dyno ..some weeks but I feel it will be worth the effort.
I will be back in the USA next week working on a project which will enhance the intergration of this technology with engines.
I cant talk about it just yet as much testing has to be done but I will inform the group and the soonest possible time what the project is about.
There is finally some big dollars and resources being invested into this project and i know the outcome will benefit anyone with a hydoxy booster.
I do hope if it is ok Bob I can visit again and I want to travel to see you as well Kevin if thats ok.
kind regards
mark

You found:

4.Diesels will only show small improvements in millage (2%-25%) compared with gasoline engines (5% -60%)

Is the spread in success-rate (5 to 60%) due to poor design & implementation vs good ones; or due to old ineffective engines that show a lot of improvement vs modern engines that are already much more effective and thus not so easy to score gains on?

Schalk.
