I might have to disassemble it to ship though.

It's a Tesla Turbine, 5 inch diameter platters. 3/4 inch shaft, 1/8 inch thick plates, 1/8 inch spacing. This bugger is HEAVY.

The flywheel effect alone is impressive.

And yes that means waiting for the ever so evil Wasilla Post Office....

You are very close on that one. Enough to elicit a good laugh.

We SUFFER 9 months of the worst damned weather on the planet....to LIVE IT UP for 3 wonderful months.

I would not trade it for a perfect job in a tropical place. There would be no rewarding goal.

So we are generally happy in the summer, and hard to get a hold of as well.

In the winter....we are a grumpy bunch that are similar to waking a hibernating grizzly bear!

That is also the reason for BIG houses (cabin fever can set in at a 4,000 square foot house....) because you need to get as far away from the next person as possible....because you can't go outside.

Also it is peaceful, the population is low (most likely cause by our winter grumpiness) and we have time to think, and literally wear out a deck of cards or a touch-pad mouse playing solitaire in winter.

Primary winter entertainment: Highway Lottery. Here's how it goes: You are driving along, and some person from a tropical climate that thinks they can operate a car flies past you like you are in reverse... betting starts. Bets as to where....what milepost...corner...intersection....that the vehicle will meet it's demise. Bets also include HOW the vehicle makes it's grand entry to the junk yard....tree, power pole...tires up like a dead rodent....collision with train, truck, bus, another vehicle....

Betting material is ANYTHING. Date with sister....who buys gas...who pays for lunch....needing shovel work...or even plain old money.

Also entertaining is watching the politicians try to swindle the country out of everything, all the way to the presidency. Watching the oil prices rise and fall like rockets and rocks is cause for interesting entertainment. Watching oil prices plummet is exciting! Watching it rise is also exciting! We watch the politicians ass pucker when oil prices crash. When the oil prices go skyward, we watch the locals' ass pucker.

And Alaskan's sense of humor knows no bounds. There's even humor in death. From birth to death, we are an odd, and interesting bunch, and like thy say at the single's bar: The odds are good that the goods are odd.

And screw that chocolate box stuff. Try a snow bank- you never know what you are gonna get!
