Has anyone tried using a 2-stroke engine with ethanol? I've heard that there is some problems with the ethanol dispersing the oil and causing engine damage. Is this true?

Also can you substitute the oil in the fuel mix with an organic oil like vegtable oil?

Thanks for the reply. I thought everyone was gonna ignore this thread by now.

Those links were interesting. So basically it looks like a 40:1 mixture of ethanol to bio-diesel should do the trick.

If anyone else has more info or experience with this it would be very much appreciated.

The engine I was thinking of running this on is a small GMC 750W generator. It was only $98 from Bunnings and I've never fired it up yet so I figured that it wouldn't hurt the back pocket too much if I broke it.
