possible defective p c m , e c u ect. ????

HI i not sure which this section question might need be?? here is some thing my friend has encountered has chevy 01 truck 4.3 something like that has the EFIE installed as instructions .. all censors performing ok.. according to the scanguagell his truck now stays in open loop truck uses more gas compaired to closed loop **reguardless the truck computer has been disconnected like 48 hours to be sure to had time to erase any bad codes..theory ok. oh the 02 censor replaced with a know good one all fuses check ok too .. so i havent read of any one here dealing with that sort of strange occuriance.....again hope fully this wont discourage any one ..conserning the EFIE i persional know they work great.... i definately dont have the smarts in this area ...HOPEFULLY the truck computer is ok... what might be some of your best suggestions oh too also you may move this subject to another catigore if you perfer ok thanks don..
