Yes, the more surface area you have the faster it will produce Hydrogen.

Yes I did measure the voltage output once. My test cell cell was very primitive so it didn't produce much, but it is stilla POC (proof of concept). The results are in a thread around here somewhere. Come to think of it, I think it was only painted steel I used. lol. It was just a few scraps out of an old DVD burner.

What did you find the ratio of chemical H production to electrolytic H production to be?

Given the need to keep the voltage under 1 volt will the replating phase take drasticly more or less time than the chemical reaction phase? Also how does the volume of gas produced compare?

I am planning my POC setup using 2 plastic 55 gallon drums and a 5 gallon plastic pail setup as a bubbler/flame arrestor. The drums will be sitting on end. I have a decent supply of them for next to no $$. The first will be the reaction chamber. I have not decided on how I want to make the "door' yet. The second will be to store and the H and insure that any acid vapor gets dropped out. They will initially be feeding a 30000 BTU wall heater with the appropriate nozzle to control the flow. If I find that I have more H than that heater will handle I may build a heater similar to the Murphy waste oil heater. They are supposed to put out 250,000 BTU at max feed.

check the hydrogen DVD thread in this forum. i could always reconvert it to an image file, still have his DVD lying around on top of the entertainment center.....

Try and rip it Xvid or something first. Downloading a 1.8GB image for a half an hour vid is just too big. Might also have been the reason we don't have as many seeds and downloaders
