Just found an awesome 'backup' system for your generator!!

1. Its cheap
2. made at home with minimal tools
3. endorsed by FEMA

aka ' The Wood Gasifier'!! as used by thousands during WW2 and other petrol shortages.

hell, in WW2 most of europe (cars/houses/industry) was burning this stuff!

found the link on 'Keelynet', man thats a good site!



just keep a drum of dry woodchips handy and your set :)

oh yeah, the guy described in keelynet runs his ford pickup on it, gets about 1 mile p/pound of wood, @ $3 for 40pounds.

Sounds like it is coming along nicely for you there. I have had a lot of progress here, and have a few dozen photos to upload to my solar power project whenever the project management is turned back on ;-)
