Function Generator isolation circuit

Is it necessary or prudent to build a circuit to isolate your function generator? If so then could someone provide a schematic with values please. OR a link. Thanks in advance.

What is it you want to isolate the Function Generator
from?

Are you trying to use the function generator to
power, pulse or put 'frequency' into an electrolyzer?

I want to use my function generator to control the frequency going into my stepup.
It will not be the power source, but control the frequency of the source. Thanks for you reply. Ramirez.

Could you tell us how you plan to interconnect
the function generator to your setup?

Does the function generator output need a
'boost?'

I would like to isolate the function generator from the rest of the circuit via light or opamp? So there is no electrical connection between the two. Just as long as there is no possibility of bemf. Any thought appreciated. I know what I want to do, however lack the design skills. Thanks, Rami

That degree of isolation is relatively easy
to accomplish.

Something as simple as an 'emitter follower'
circuit should provide ample protection.
