You've got a very powerful microcontroller there that will outperform the Basic Stamp once you master the instruction set and the programming learning tools.

Yes, it is true that the documentation there is a bit "high level".

Got both, I can get a pic to do practically whatever I want but Atmel is another story. Good luck in your quest. Atmel does have more options which makes it more frustrating! Wayne
