SeaMonkey,

Thanks for the reply. That is a bit of a problem as I would like to read up to 25A. so would need fairly thick wire 8ga I would think.

Is there a simpler way, without running the 8ga through the firewall and baclk out to monitor the current from within the car?

I bought a clamp-on DC ammeter for this purpose. I consider it a must-have item when working with high current DC electrolysis.
