from my understanding, aurum doesnt tarnish. how about coating the electrodes with 23k gold leaf?
from what i know, graphite (carbon) is electrically nutral but from what people on this board have said, it does disolve. maybe the graphite they used is impure or maybe what i heard is false. i was told to use number 2 pencils sharpened at both ends.
what do you guys think of having salt crystals grow in the water on the walls of gold plated electrodes? would something like that work? maybe HCL salt would spice things up a bit?
