wait wait, im not convinced on that one. remember that they arent trying to give away any secrets here, so they'll double speak things....
also remember that the catalyst was developed as part of a synthetic, photosynthesis type system, remember how they kept calling it a breakthrough in solar technology? it was misleading.
i also read where nocera talks about how when electricity is applied, the catalyst bonds itself onto the electrode, and when removed, catalyst dissolved back into the water. i beleive the light they are talking about is the sunlight hitting the solar panel, acheiving power to the electrolyser, which produces HHO gas.
we are using electricity to pull water apart.
plants convert sunlight into electricity, and along with the cobalt and phosphates, helps tear the water apart.
