Bead blasting plates

Hi,

I am about to start building a "Smacks" Booster to begin with. I have access to a glass bead blaster. I was wondering if anyone has tries this and if it was more effective than using coarsesandpaper as described.

I was wondering the same thing since my brother has a bead blaster and was thinking of going that route.

Bead blasting should work fine. As long as the abrasive is on the course side. The intent of sanding is to increase the surface area in contact with solution.

I bead blasted mine, but after that I tried a hand held disc sander and that seemed to produce more HHO.

THank yoy all....not sure if there is different glass bead sizes. Perhaps the combination of blasting and a good coarse cross hatch pattern.
