Project Description:
Hey Boys,
I may have come up with something here. This unit has 15mm of epoxy above the plates and has a manual float valve water feed. There does not appear to be any current leakage, if there is any it is minimal.
I had run the unit and let the electrolyte level drop to below the top of the plates, the current was 10 amps I then added water to 1/2” over the top of the epoxy and had no current variation except for a fall of about3/4 amp after a minute, due I believe to a drop in temperature. This recovered in about 3 min to 10 amps as the temp rose.

I intend to use the water fill tank as the bubbler, which means that sodium hydroxide vapour will congerate in the bubbler which in turn will re-circulate to the cell reducing the need to top up electrolyte. The tank will have a blow off section.

Will do some yield test tomorrow after I get the top cover installed.
Will post results tomorrow.

Warren.

This is a replication of Fordenergy DNA Double Helix (u tube).
The second photo is the bolt I used they are 3/17 x 2” 316 SS, there is a PVC tight fit
tube on the end of each bolt to insulate one end.
The second photo is the starting of construction. I’ve used SS steel tie wire doubled to attaché the bolts.
The third is the finished D/Helix the twist is put in after constructing a ladder type arrangement.
Fourth it is ready for container, notice that every second bolt is already dark that is because I have had it running for 4 hours.
Fifth is a close up at 16 watts 5.9v x 2.75amps
The sixth is 3 sec after start at 16 watts and the seventh is 10 seconds at 16 watts.
The gas production from this arrangement looks pretty good, however I am about (tomorrow) to install it in a container to do some yield test, will post results.

Afraid all photos did not load,Don't know if this will work am having trouble doing this. Too dumb!
