Using nylon threaded rod and nylon washers, I construct the basic assembly.

You may notice that the plates appear staggered. They are. By drilling the center 3/8 hole just a tiny bit to one side, you have a built in stagger effect. Just turn every other plate 180 degrees and bingo. You're set :)

All finished with putting them on. Now for some "slamming" of the assembly as I tighten the end nuts.

See how nice everything lined up :)
