Has any one tried graphite plates in there fuel cells. Graphite doesn’t corrode and it should work better then stainless steel right? Shocked

I believe it has been tried, and while the graphite may not corrode, it disintegrates.

Graphite also contaminates the cell with carbon, which causes the production of carbon monoxide. You really should read older messages. The graphite, platinum, nickel, or various precious metal electrode suggestions seem to come around again at least once every few months. It's hard to beat good quality stainless steel for this application. It is fairly durable, fairly inert, and fairly resistant, to the best known electrolytes for this application. And it is a far cry less expensive than other metals suggested like gold, platinum, or titanium.
