Hi Rob,
I just added 2 mothballs into fuel tank last Sunday. Previous run (mostly highway) without any additives the car managed to get 26.46MPG or 11.25KPL.
Car : Mercedes 190E
Engine spec : 2.0L
I will update the results on next refueling.

Don't know how you will go with Naphthalene, as the Octane rating is only 90. So unless it actually improves the ability of the fuel to vaporise, it may not make a lot of difference.

Herby, just as a thought, it may pay to add your mothballs to a small amount of fuel, before you add it into your tank.
I'm not totally sold on adding a solid to a liquid, and I have heard that at certain concentrations, the Naphthalene may precipitate out again, causing problems further down the track. A work around, maybe using a tank without Naphthalene, say every 4th tank?

Well results are in for me on mothballs. They have improved my fuel milage from 12-14 mpg to 16-18 mpg on a 350 chev truck .. city driving. this is based over 5 tanks. I get similar with acetone and xylene but these are more expensive and harmfull to gaskets. I use 20 balls to a tank of gas. Next step is to be adding on the MAP / O2 modifier (I dont need all that hp in the city) along with a booster.
