Putting bifilars in series is not for scalar transmitters/receivers. They would have to be run in parallel and 180 degrees out of phase. Bifilars in series were also used by Tesla for other effects as you have noted. Teslas wireless transmission of power over large distances with little loss was predominantly scalar in nature, though he did experiment with a wide variety of other energy forms as well. The dominant forms of energy are all around us, and can be tapped fairly easy. Reliability of these devices has been a bit of an issue though, as they tend to require some tweaking to keep the energy imbalances going long term.

Interesting topic, as I am playing host to a couple of members of the Intl Tesla Society this week, and we're having all sorts of fun dabbling in this stuff.
