Yippee, I have at last on my forth design made HHO.
Altered stack to series -+-+- right through stack 16 plates. Still drawing 60 amps, will drain electrolyte again and put in caustic soda with a tea spoon.
In addition to the new stack configuration, I have put a garbage bag to insulate the electrolyte form the case. So I don't know if it was the new stack or the garbage bag that made the difference. But only run it for a few minutes, amp meter smoking hot. Large cloud of HHO in roof of shed ( 12 ft high ). Shut everything off, went for lunch. I hour later it had cleared away. Next job, fit a shunt and make new electrolyte. This time by the teaspoon full.!!! Once I get it to start making HHO and drawing 30 amps. that cloud of HHO your seeing is vaporized caustic soda suspended in the air. along with a smoking hot ammeter and the fact that theres usually electrical wires overhead, you've got a rediculously dangerous HHO bomb in that shed.
