So, who likes Coil Guns?

This is my Nerf Vulcan Coil Gun Project. it is a 440 volt, 5000uF, 25 round, fully- or semi-automatic belt-fed coil gun.

I modified the stock dart holders to accept coil gun "bolts" or bullets. I tend to stray away from the "bullet" vernacular, because most people infer classic, chemically-fired bullets with metal tips.

The stock clockwork and pneumatics advance the belt, position the dart housing (now bolt housing) and a burst of air moves the projectile forward. When the projectile crosses into the breech of the barrel, a break-beam IR circuit is tripped, firing the SCR's and dumping all that electricity into the coil itself.

I built this because I wanted to have the coolest, neatest coil gun with practicality- it will fire 25 or 50 rounds, one right after the other with a slight pause in between.
