Project Description:
I would just like to say, don't buy a Windstar.  Based on my experience, they are the worst vehicle ever.  I have heard the newer ones are better, though I would be reluctant to even go near them.

You can't even begin to see the damage that happened to the engine, but this is a good idea.  The head gasket went, and caused a hydro-lock in the cylinder.  It twisted the rod in all different directions.  You can't really see it from the pic, but it's actually like a cork screw when you put the pieces together.

The piston skirts are terribly ripped apart.  I must say, however, the cylinder walls are amazingly clean.  If it weren't for the rod hitting the cam, and the sump, and the bottom part of the opposing cylinder and everything else.  LoL

You also can't tell from the pic, but the plate that's under everything is terribly bent out of shape as well.

This is (was) a '98 Windstar.  The 95's were the worst, but they were never really fixed.  I heard they supposedly fixed them with the newer models, but they said that in '96 as well.  *shrugz*
