About 4 minutes now... time for a test firing!

I have to admit, I am a bit nervous about pulling the trigger on this baby. Is my creation going to hold up? Are the walls thick enough? Are the water tubes too small? Hold onto your hat boys and girls! I highly recommend that the parent does the first test firing. I also recommend that you don't try to fill the entire cavity with gas on your first test run.

Perhaps after some experience with your project, you can work up to more and more gas, but start out safe. This after all, is a small bomb. It has 2 very small exit holes for the water, but you must show respect for the gas that you have trapped inside there. I have seen, first hand, just how powerful this stuff can be ...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

3 ...2 ...1 ...FIRE! Wow that was cool as hell :) -I was quite surprised with the controlled explosion. No bang at all. No pop even... just the water shooting out of the holes.

Some things to note. You can position your electrolysis wires up higher on your inner chamber, if you want to prevent your child from being able to make a LOT of hydrogen/oxygen. I put mine very low in the chamber, so I could probably fill the chamber with about 4 cc's of Hydrogen/Oxygen. By simply drilling the holes higher, and moving the wires up, you decrease the amount of gas that can be evolved. The wires must be under water to make gas.

Also a note of caution. I don't know how well, pinching or plugging the 1 tube will work. You may want to be careful if you try this. Start with small amounts of gas and work your way up.
